So, I want to start a blog and here it is. This is my introduction, but the point of this it to write down some of the insanity that goes on in my head. It might not always be insane but so much runs through my mind I figured it would be nice to get some of it out. Kind of a therapeutic thing ya know?
It will probably range from my emotions (whoa EMO alert! I promise I won't write about sitting in the corner and drowning in my sorrows while listening to Fall Out Boy and stabbing a picture of my parents who don't understand me) to music to movies to God knows what else.
Intro? Alright. I am Alyse. 21 years old for less than another month. When did I get so old? Born and raised in the nations capital. Washington D.C. for all you slow folks. Georgetown to be exact. Not proud of that part but hey I got to live in D.C. for 19 years of my life and I'm proud of it! I miss it more than anything, but that's for a later blog.
Where do I live now you ask? Well that would be Philadelphia, PA! Yep good ol' Philly. Took quite a bit of getting used to but I'm thinking I can now love this place as much as I love D.C. Not sure if it can ever replace D.C. but time will tell.
Currently, I am living with my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years with his mom and sister in their house in West Philly. Weird situation you might think, but right now it is working and I am happy. I work at a daycare for a certain University and I love it. I love the kids and for the most part it is a great place to be at.
Random facts: I listen to the evil rock music. I recently discovered a band named Dommin after going to see H.I.M and We Are The Fallen in concert at The Electric Factory and fell in love. They did a show at The Trocadero and I had to go. That place is tiny and an amazing venue to see a band you love. It was pretty epic. Other bands I like, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, Muse, Keane, VersaEmerge, Flyleaf, Within Temptation, Sixx A.M...you get the idea right? I like good T.V. What is good T.V. you ask? Hmmm...Chuck for 1. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, The Office, Community. Unfortunately a lot of the shows I love are no longer on. Arrested Development, Better off Ted, Freaks & Geeks among others. Grey's Anatomy is a guilty pleasure. Oh my I almost forgot LOST. *sigh* The single most frustrating TV show ever I might say, but so so amazingly good. Um, I love Amusement Parks but never get to go to them anymore.
Enough of an intro? I think so. It's quite hot today so I'm going to drink me some ice cold water. Chill with some music and play me some pool on OMGPOP a quite addicting website.
